Favorite Family Foto Friday

It's time once again for Favorite Family Foto Friday.
Drop by to visit with Deborah at Pictures, Pots, Pens and sign up to share your favorite family foto with us and to see others who are doing the same.

This is a picture of my sisters and me, along with our cousin, Roger. It was taken in September, 1962 in my Maw and Paw McDonald's front yard. You can see I've been giving the smaller kids a ride in Roger's Red Flyer wagon. They LOVED for me to pull them around in that thing!

In the wagon are my sisters, Charlotte and Debra, and our first cousin, Roger. I am standing behind with the quite authoritarian 'hands on my hips' pose! I liked being the boss! Hey, when you're the oldest, you've gotta take your joy where you can get it! You sure get all the responsibility!

At the time of this foto, I was 4 years and 10 months old; quite grown up, don't you think?! Charlotte was 3 years and 5 months old; Debra was 2 years and 4 months old and Roger was 22 months old. I made those kids walk the line! Ha!Ha! It's more like they made ME walk the line, always threatening to tell Momma so and so.....KIDS!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my
Favorite Family Foto for this week.
Be sure to drop in to see what others are showing.
Have a great weekend!

good morning diane
i came by to see you this foto friday and i am glad i did,
how nice it was in those days when most family of kids owned one of those red wagons.
just big enough to hold a few little kids in and just small enough for one big sister to pull those kids around!
even at the tender age of four years and ten months, it seems you had a real care for people!
have a good day diane.....love terry

charlotte doesn't look too happy about something..do you perhaps think diane, that SHE wanted to be the boss that day?...ha!

Our daughter Jessica got a Red Flyer wagon for her 3rd birthday. Today it sits out in one of my flower beds, ivy growing up all around it. It's rusted, one of the wheels has a big chunk missing out of it, but there it sits! Jess has asked me for it and I am thinking of surprising her with it sooner than later!

Going through the family pictures, I've run across several with kids and wagon. I know *somewhere* there is one of me in a wagon but I haven't found it *yet*. I love your "I'm the boss" stance!

I'll be thinking of you this weekend.

I just realized how young you are. You write with wisdom and I am now seeing I am so much older than everyone else. The picture is just precious.

Hey Diane!

I'm the oldest and I can relate to being the one who always does the pulling of the wagon! lol Looks like you and your cousin Roger were having a great time. He looks so happy being pulled around in that wagon with the older kids. Now, your sister Charlotte doesn't look to happy. Maybe she wanted to be the boss! hehehe

What a sweet photo of you and your family. I had a red flyer wagon when I was a little girl also. I was an only child so I had to pull the dog! : )

This brings back memories...I am the oldest in the family. And I so relate to being responsible for the younger ones. What happy times though...seems like yesterday doesn't it?
Love Family Friday's...and you!!!

Diane, I was THE BOSS too and I LIKED it! Gosh, I loved pulling everyone in the wagon back in the day and I would try to whip them out. When it was my turn to ride, the person pulling would try to whip me around and toss me out to get back at me, but I thought it was fun. This is a great picture you are sharing.
