Thank You Is Not Enough!

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal........Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails........And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
I Corinthians 13: 1, 4-8a, 13

These words describe perfectly the kind of love I have been shown by so many wonderful people over the last four weeks, many of whom are right here in Blog Land. People have posted prayer requests for me on their blogs. Others have read those requests and have visited my blog and left precious prayers and comments. I cannot express with words what all this outpouring of love and support has meant to me!

The past couple of weeks have been especially difficult for me. However, I haven't had to face them alone. All of you have circled the wagons and formed prayers chains for me. My family has taken me in and sheltered me. Other friends have emailed and called and visited and lifted me to the Throne of Grace in intercessory prayer. I have felt the love of the Lord in every action and word. I feel as sheltered and safe as the water droplet in the picture above. Without all of you, I would be so much more troubled than I am.

Thank you is just not sufficient to express my feelings for each of you and for your prayers and support. You have shown through your actions the Love of Jesus to me in my darkest hour. I will never forget you and have been touched in ways I cannot describe. I am amazed at the ability you have to love me. Thank you, each and every one, for being a vessel of service for our Lord. May He grant you peace and grace in the days ahead.

Hi Diane, I'm visiting via Connie.
My heart goes out to you..though words seem inadequate to those of us who try to comfort, I know that God is offering comfort, and our words come from Him. May he continue to hold you in the palm of His hand, and may you find peace in the memories of the great love you shared...you were blessed to have such a marriage.
When I read your profile it sounded a lot like me. I too married my high school sweetheart (43 years ago) and like you, I'm an introvert who also likes people!
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers...

Hello Diane, I am here because of my dear traveling scarf sister, Connie. She had asked each of us to pray for you.

My father passed away after 36 years of marriage to my mom. I know it's the most difficult thing she ever endured...but I also know that because of Jesus, we will all meet again in heaven one day. My dad is on the official welcoming committee there...he and your husband are saving you a seat!

Please know that I am praying for you and asking the Lord to just totally envelop you in His love and peace at this very difficult time.

God bless you!

Dear Dianne
Just stopping by to see how you are doing.
I find you such an incredible lady.
Bernie and I have been married for 36 years and I just don't know how I could ever go through what you are enduring.
You are so close to the Lord in this and that is why you have put out such a great post.
You are helping the rest of us and I think that already even though I haven't seen you that I love you!
Love Teresa
