Home Town Swap

Recently, I joined my very first swap meme. The meme is hosted by sweet Shannon over at Welcome to The NutHouse! Thank you Shannon, From My Hometown....To Yours has been so exciting for me and I have so enjoyed participating.

The premise is this, all who were interested in participating turned in our names and email addy's to Shannon, along with a brief email about what part of the country we had never visited, but would like to visit and know more about. Shannon then paired us with other participants from as near to our desired area as possible.

We have gotten to official 'O.K.' from Shannon to mail our packages. Mine will go out Friday. Imagine my surprise when, yesterday, I stepped out my back door to be greeted by this......!!!! WhoooHooooo!!!

I was paired with Michelle at My Loves. Michelle lives in a small town just outside Boston and has sent me a box FILLED with treasures!

Just let me show you all the goodies included in this treasure chest! They are:

A beautiful soft lime green tee shirt with 'Cape Cod' emblazoned on the front. Beautiful!!!

A selection of teas from, where else, Boston Tea Party!!!! And, a cute little jar to store them in, with yet MORE tea flavors! Fantastic!!!! I cannot wait to sample each one!

A set of Shawn D. Jenkins Note Cards by Nantucket Distributing Services, along with two pencils with the official Boston Red Sox logos!

Ok, are you envious yet?!

An absolutely gorgeous pink hoodie with 'New Hampshire' across the front and 'UNH' on the cuffs and inside the hood! It's a bit warm here for this now, BUT you just wait until fall! I'll be sporting this lovely number all around these hills and valleys of southwest Tennessee!

This wonderful Women of Faith Study Guide entitled 'Living Above Worry & Stress'. I sooooo much needed this at this time in my life! I haven't started it yet, am so looking forward to seeing what the Lord has to say to me through it.

A Boston Red Sox Pez dispenser (with refills!) and a precious little packet of tissues that are just too pretty to use! Every time I pull them from my handbag, I will think of precious Michelle and be blessed all over again!

Can you BELIEVE this?! It's like Christmas in June!!!

And, here we have the piece de resistance, an official Boston Red Sox jersey for Dustin Luis Pedroia, the second baseman who won the AL Rookie of the Year in 2007 and the AL MVP in 2008, as well as a 'Silver Slugger Award' in 2008 and garnered the second overall in the AL batting average for 2008. Quite a young man, don't you think?! When I go sporting around town in this little number, I will be the envy of every young man in town!

Here is one parting shot of my loot! You will also note a very nice handwritten note from Michelle, a Boston skyline postcard and a set of New Hampshire playing cards. These items were difficult to capture in close up photos. You can, however, click on any photo to enlarge it and see more detail.

Whew!!!! Quite a cache, huh?! I cannot thank Michelle enough for her generosity! I have a treasure trove of things to remind me of my very first Swap meme! I am so blessed!

Please visit Michelle at her new blog, My Loves. She is new to the blogging community and I am sure your visit would be greatly appreciated. Also, please drop by to visit with Shannon at Welcome to The NutHouse. Thank you Shannon for hosting this meme. It has been so exciting for me!

Wow! Michelle outdid herself! I'm a tea drinker... I think the teas are my fave item from your loot! But the rest of it is pretty fabulous, too.

So glad you've had fun with this. I've had fun, too. I can't wait for everyone to link their posts so I can see what everyone got!

WOW, how generous! You can just see all the thought that was put into selecting every item..what a special person to do all that. An equally special person gets to receive all that, and you are that special person. Enjoy all your goodies, Diane!

Oh,my!! I feel bad now...I didn't do near that much for my swap partner. I think she spent way over the $30.00 limit!! But if that's what she wanted to do, I guess it's ok!!
